Temps are the new buzz word for companies

The number of temporary staff, popularly known as temps,  in companies are on the rise. The trend is more prevalent in IT and insurance companies, like Fred Loya Insurance. As a matter of fact temps are fast becoming an integral part of the work force. And at times if a particular temp shows promising sign then he is even hired as a full time, that what companies like Fred Loya insurance do. Temps form 10% to 15% of total employee of an IT firm, against 2% to 5% a couple of years ago. This share is likely to go up to 25% in the next couple quarters.

There is optimism in temps getting roped in among IT companies, says Brian of Fred Loya Insurance. There would be a time when IT firms start giving a break-up to their full timers and putting temps at their place ans see that is it more feasible to go for more temps. How does scenario shapes up would be known in near future.  So if someone calls you a temp then don’t fee offended but think that you are in with the trend.
