Just 12 women CEOs in the Fortune 500


When, On January 1, Virginia 'Ginni' Rometty came to the helm at IBM, she became the first woman CEO of one of the largest technology companies of the world. But there are not many women who are leading an organization despite so much so much talk about women empowerment and fair sex coming to the fore.
There are just 12 women CEOs in the Fortune 500, which has been released last week.

“Though women form a chunk of all the organization but it seems that they have a long way to go before the emerge as the boss of CEO, says an executive of Fred Loya Insurance. “We at Fred Loya Insurance do have a policy to promote and encourage women workforce to come forward and take up the new challenges just like their male counterparts.
