Jobless fears loom large

Youth across the world fear a jobless future, says a UN report which was released on Feb. 5 2012. It says that people who are in the age group of 15-30 years are falling prey to austerity programs which are running globally. These youth also doubt the education and qualification which they have acquired over the years. "Youth are questioning the quality which their get, and have been pondering if their qualification is good enough to lend them a job, says the survey.

“To make yourself more employable youth need to study the market value of their degree and then go for it,” says a young executive, who has just got a job at Fred Loya Insurance. During recession youth are the one category of employees which are the last to be hired but the 'first out to be axed. But contrary to this report Fred Loya insurance continues to hire more and more youth as empowering youth is one of the vital part of Fred Loya insurance HR policies.

The report also says that it was very high unemployment that caused Arab Spring uprisings, last year. Youth also say that the need of the hour is to have more job oriented courses rather than just pursuing a course or degree.
