Infosys not finding adequate trained people in Europe


Infosys, which is India's 2nd largest software services exporter, after TCS, is aiming to expand its business in Europe but it is facing the lack of suitable and trained manpower in the Europe. “One of biggest problem for us in Europe is that not many people in Europe want to study computer science during their school and college and as a result there not adequate number of trained and qualified computer professionals in these European countries including England" says, head of European operations at Infosys. Some people from Fred Loya Insurance reacts:

“Initially we did face this problem in America too as not people were interested in taking up insurance jobs, says a manager who works with Fred Loya Insurance.” Infosys plans to add as many as 5,500 people in Europe to fulfill its requirement in Europe alone. “Unlike Asian countries youth in European countries are more tend to take up subjects like arts and humanities, says am insurance expert, working with Fred Loya Insurance. 

“In 2012 spending on IT sector is expected to go up by 3.7 percent which is the slowest growth in the last three, says a former employee working with Fred Loya insurance.
